We continue on today with Paragraph 42 of the "Contemporary Testimony: Our World Belongs to God."
Paragraphs 1-6: Preamble (April 11-29)
Paragraphs 7-12: Creation (April 30-May 8)
Paragraphs 13-17: Fall (May 11-15)
Paragraphs 18-22: Redemption (May 18-22)
Paragraphs 23-27: Jesus Christ
Paragraphs 28-30: Holy Spirit
This is a crucial paragraph in the section on our mission, for it grounds us firmly on Jesus, it places his mission as our mission, and it sends us forward in love and compassion. There is no one else through whom God has ever said he would reconcile all things to himself!
But just as incredible is that that is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Saviour, is our High Priest, our brother, and our friend. We have been invited into relationship with the most amazing person to ever walk this earth. This is what we have, and what we have to share with a needy world.
Our song for today is "For God So Loved" by We The Kingdom. Thank you, Jesus!
"Lord, Jesus, Son of God, Saviour, we love you. We love you because you loved us first, you emptied yourself and became like us in our weakness, you took on the role of a servant, and you died for us. Through you, our Father pours out his love for his creation. Through us, other people will hear about your love for them."
What do you have to thank Jesus for today? Take a moment and do so now!
PS - Let me take this opportunity to wish you all a happy Canada Day!
