Eat Well to Prevent Diabetes is a FREE diabetes prevention program led by a Toronto Public Health Dietitian and Public Health Nurse. This program is for people aged 25-64 years who do not have diabetes and who are ready to take steps to eat healthier.  

The program aims to increase knowledge and skills around healthy eating and diabetes prevention. Topics will include prevention of diabetes and risk factors, Canada's Food Guide, reading food labels and goal setting. Some sessions will also include hands-on food preparation.  

The program runs for six sessions on Wednesdays: October 30, November 6, 13, 20, 27 and December 4 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. Since sessions build on each other, participants should try to attend all sessions.  

TTC tokens will be provided. If requested, childminding and interpreters can be organized.
