Movie Night! "The Two Popes"

Please join us for our first online “Movie Night” where we will have a one-hour discussion of the 2019 movie, “The Two Popes,” hosted by Faithgroup V (for “Virtual”).

Here's the plan:

• prior to Movie Night watch "The Two Popes" (on Netflix or some other service; we want to respect copyrights and licenses)
• at 7pm on April 1, join the discussion on Zoom
• make your own popcorn and find a comfortable chair
• from 7-8 we will be discussing the movie together

(NOTE: Some of the dialog is close captioned, and sometimes the background makes it barely readable; you may want to search out a copy of the screenplay in advance.)

Here are some of the discussion questions we will use; keep them in mind as you watch the film:

1. How do you hear God’s voice?  When has God’s voice been strong and clear, and when has it been faint or non-existent?
2. How do you forgive yourself, and forget?  How do you answer an inner voice telling you that you have not done all you could?
3. What did the two popes teach and learn about symbols and simplicity?
