Did you ever notice how much of Jesus' teaching (parables, instruction, and example) included food or took place during mealtimes? Jesus clearly enjoyed a good dinner with friends old and new. One person who did notice is the Gospel writer Luke, who recorded many of these meals. Over this summer—when shared meals are a big part of the enjoyment of our Canadian summer—we will look at some of the significant "meals with Jesus" stories in Luke and let Jesus teach us today.
